Harold grew up in central Texas, where he was raised on a farm. He holds a B.S. degree in mathematics from Tarleton State University. After working with the Texas Department of Insurance for 40 years, he retired.
Harold and his wife Freida, married and moved to Mesquite in 1973, where the Mesquite Church of Christ soon became home. He has served as a deacon and Bible class teacher and was ordained as an elder in 2017.
After attending ACU for 3 years, Freida graduated from UNT, and later received a M.S. degree from Texas A&M Commerce. Freida has been a homemaker and school teacher in Mesquite ISD where she became a reading specialist prior to her retirement.
They have been blessed with a son and his wife, a daughter and her husband, and five grandchildren. Some of Harold’s favorite things to do are attend grandchild activities, spend time at the farm, garden, read, and study the Bible.
