Go therefore and make disciples all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
The above passage is Jesus' words from Matthew 28:19-20 just before he ascended to Heaven.
This and many other passages in the Bible teach us the importance of spreading the Gospel across the earth. Other than striving to spread the good news of Jesus Christ to our neighbors and those we see daily, we also support those who travel globally to spread the Gospel to people who otherwise may not ever hear it. To be good stewards of our blessings, we also send teams to visit these mission fields as a way to provide accountability and assistance when needed.
Ministries & Local Outreach Programs Supported
Support is made possible in large part by our Mission Sunday which usually takes place at the end of October. During this Missions Month, special emphasis is placed on local and global missions throughout the month in Bible Classes and in preaching.
Throughout the year, our members are encouraged to set aside money and on Mission Sunday a special collection is taken from those funds and is then distributed appropriately to the Mission Field.
The following individuals and organizations are prayerfully and financially supported by the Mesquite Church of Christ.
Cambodia Christian Ministries
CCM continues the ministry of Jesus by meeting the physical and spiritual needs of the poorest of the poor in Cambodia’s remote villages. We share the love of God with those who have never heard the Good News of Jesus and we train believers to teach others about Jesus. We provide medical, optical and dental treatment to thousands of people every year. We drill water wells to provide safe water where they have none, while at the same time share the Living Water Jesus provides. We also help bless many Cambodia orphans with medical care, food, clothing, and any other needs they have.
Eastern European Missions
The mission of EEM began in 1961 when a small band of missionaries bravely answered God’s call to take his Word to people under the rule of the Soviet Union. Smuggling Bibles and underground printing were the only ways to share God’s Word until the wall fell in 1989. Today, we freely supply Bibles and Bible-based materials. These materials are given to individuals, families, children in youth camps, refugees, mission churches, public universities, public schools, public libraries, prisons, hospitals, orphanages, campaign groups, and anywhere else Bibles are needed.
World Christian Broadcasting
World Christian Broadcasting is a non-profit organization supported by concerned Christians whose purpose is to take God’s Word—through mass media—to people who may have no other means of hearing the Good News. Our official Mission Statement: “World Christian Broadcasting exists so that people in places best served by broadcast media become aware of the Good News of Jesus Christ and want to know more.”
Herman Alexander
Continuing decades of service to the Lord, Herman is involved in the work of Nations University (NU) and Cambodia Bible School (CBS). Leveraging video conferencing applications and online tools, Herman is helping students around the world dig deeper into the word of God and learn about Jesus.
Kids Beach Club
The Children’s Ministry continues driving our efforts with KiDs Beach Club, teaching Mesquite ISD students about Jesus and putting Bibles in their hands though the KBC afterschool program. With your financial giving – as well as the time volunteered by so many – the Mesquite family is currently working with students at two elementary schools. What a wonderful opportunity to plant the seeds of faith for these students and their families!

MISD Homeless Student Support
The Women's Ministry raised our awareness to the growing homeless student population in the Mesquite ISD and identified an opportunity to help address one of the basic challenges these students face which we too often take for granted – food. The Mesquite family now offers financial support to provide meals for these students through MISD – meals especially needed over weekends, holidays, and longer school breaks.
Tabby Hyland
In July 2023, Tabby completed her field work as part of the Adventures in Missions (AIM) program, serving the community of Arlington,TX and students at the University of Texas at Arlington. We are grateful for Tabby’s willingness to share the Lord, her desire to serve others, and her example – and are excited about her graduation from AIM in March 2024.
